Trade: café
Your café website online, with events and opening hours at the top
A café lives off the evening after. What is on, is there room and when does the kitchen close. Guests look it up on the way, and a site with three-year-old hours costs you that guest. We host your site with a mailbox on your own domain. We migrate an existing site for free, and someone helps you over WhatsApp.

Your site as a café
Why people look up your café on their phone
-
What is on tonight
The agenda with quiz, live music or football is the reason many guests come. Put it at the top as text, with date and time. A poster as a photo is too small on a phone and Google cannot read it.
-
Hours and kitchen closing
Cafés have changing hours: drinks, lunch, kitchen, Sunday. Put them together clearly. A guest arriving at half past nine wants to know whether they can still eat.
-
Hall, terrace and groups
A birthday or a hen party starts with a question. A page about the space, how many guests fit and a request form makes the first step easy.
-
Menu with beers and lunch
Guests check what is on tap or which lunch dishes there are. Put the menu as text, not as a scan. A line with what is new this week keeps the page alive.
-
Replying without leaving your bar
Behind the tap your hands are full. A WhatsApp button and a form let guests ask a question, and you answer in a quiet moment.

On the front page
What goes on the front page of a café
A guest scrolls mostly on a phone, often on the way there.

- Agenda for the coming weeks as text
- Opening hours and kitchen hours side by side
- Address and route
- A Book the hall or terrace button
- Menu link with beers and lunch
- WhatsApp button for groups
An example
An example: a café with a poster as its agenda
A café owner puts a poster of the programme on his site every month, as a JPG. On a phone the text cannot be read, and Google does not know there is live music every Friday. Requests for the hall come through a form that rarely works, and his email runs through a free account.
He sends us a WhatsApp message. We migrate the site for free, set up a mailbox on his domain and look at the form. After that he puts the agenda on the page as text, and if he would like us to do that, the Changes add-on can. The old site stays up until the nameservers are switched.
Email on your own domain
Requests for parties and meetings
The bigger jobs for a café come by email: a party for forty people, a club night, a farewell drink. An address on your own domain looks serious and arrives more often than a free account. Set up a separate address for group requests and one for suppliers.
If you have email somewhere else now, we move the existing messages along when you switch.

Questions
Questions from café owners
How do I put my agenda online without making a poster every week?
Make an agenda page with a list: date, time, title. That is text, so phones read it and Google does too. With an agenda plugin on WordPress you add a row in two minutes.
Can I show my terrace and hall separately with a request form?
Yes, make one page per space with a photo, number of people and a form. The requests land in your own mailbox. We check the form during the migration.
Can I put music or a livestream from my café on my site?
Technically that is possible. Playing music or video falls under rules from rights holders. Ask the organisation you pay for that for advice. We host the page.
My site is slow on mobile, can it be faster?
Usually, yes. Often the photos are too big. Send us the link on WhatsApp, and we will look into it and show what can be gained. The Changes add-on can carry it out.
How do I move my café site from someone else to you?
Ask your current host or builder for your files and database, or let us do that on your behalf. We transfer everything for free, you test and then change the nameservers. If a contract is still running, the Switch deal covers up to 9 months.
