  1. Menu as text

    A PDF menu has to be zoomed in on a phone and Google reads it poorly. Put dishes and drinks on the page as text, and add a PDF as an extra for anyone who wants to print.

  2. Booking without a detour

    A button to your booking system, on every page, does most of the work. People who have to search for long book somewhere else. Let tables come in by email too, and they land in your own inbox.

  3. Photos of the food and the room

    Guests like to see where they will be sitting and what will be on the table. Real photos of your kitchen work better than stock images. They do have to load quickly, also on mobile data.

  4. Route, parking and access

    Put the address, map and parking tips at the top, plus opening days and kitchen hours. A guest wants to know in advance that the kitchen closes at nine.

  5. Groups and room hire

    Birthdays, company dinners and weddings come in by email or form. A separate page for groups, with what you offer, saves you from answering the same questions again and again.

A restaurant has a lovely site, but the menu is a PDF from three years ago. Guests call to ask whether the menu is still right, and the contact form for groups has not been arriving for a while. The email runs through a free address.

Questions from restaurant owners

Do I need my own booking module or can I connect an external one?

Both work. Most booking systems give you a link or a widget that you put on your site. That keeps working with us. If you have your own plugin on WordPress, we move it along.

How often do I need to update my menu on the site?

As soon as dishes change. With seasonal changes that is four times a year. If you would like someone to change it for you, the Changes add-on picks that up.

Can I offer my menu in several languages?

Yes, with a multilingual plugin on WordPress or with a separate page per language. That runs without problems with us. Handy if you get tourists or guests from abroad.

What do I put on my site about allergies and dietary needs?

Put a short paragraph on the menu page and a line saying guests can pass on their needs when they book. A WhatsApp button or email address for questions helps too. Keep your menu up to date.

My restaurant site is with an agency, what if I would like to switch?

We copy everything to our servers for free. The agency hands you the files and the database. You test on the new address and then switch the nameservers. The old site stays reachable until that moment.

How do I stop my email from going to spam?

Use an address on your own domain with email set up properly. We do that during setup. If you notice messages not arriving, send us an example on WhatsApp and we will look into it.
